Sumia explores emotional duality in new EP ‘Call me baby’

Istanbul’s underground scene has exported one of its most vibrant talents to the global stage: Sumia. Known internationally as the "Princess of Hard Dance," the DJ, producer, and activist unveils her new EP Call me baby, a body of work that acts as a sonic diary where each track captures a chapter of her own story, blending underground grit with a unique melodic sensitivity.

The EP opens with the title track, ‘Call me baby’, a hypnotic piece that utilizes Sumia’s own vocals to create a contrast between softness and driving percussion. It is followed by ‘Energy rising’, a club-focused cut designed to channel the collective pulse of rave culture. However, the final chapter takes a different emotional turn with ‘We are lost forever’, a bittersweet reflection on the nature of love and the liberation that follows loss. Today, we are thrilled to host the exclusive premiere of this third track on our SoundCloud channel, inviting listeners to dive into its melancholic and immersive atmosphere.

Beyond her Beatport chart success and performances at institutions like Amnesia Ibiza and Blackworks, Sumia continues to use her platform for change through her labels Volx and Kissnbite Records. Through her "Stronger Together" series, she has led social and environmental impact initiatives, proving that her artistic vision knows no bounds. With Call me baby, Sumia reaffirms not only her technical prowess but her ability to tell stories that transport the listener into deep, personal dimensions.
