HVOB release new single ‘Abyss’ as part of ongoing project ‘The Silver Cage’

Electronic duo HVOB released new single ‘Abyss’ on June 21 via their own label, Tragen Records. The track is the third release from their The Silver Cage project. A remix of the track by SALOME follows on July 18.

Formed by Austrian musicians Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, HVOB are known for their minimal yet emotionally rich electronic productions. Over the years, they have played at major festivals including Sonar Barcelona, Clockenflap in Hong Kong, Primavera, Fuji Rock and Burning Man, as well as touring extensively across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.

‘Abyss’ continues HVOB’s exploration of contrast and transformation. It is more techno-oriented than their recent releases, with melodic sensibility and raw, club-focused sound design that promotes inward reflection as well as physical responses to the rhythms.

The release is part of The Silver Cage, a new conceptual cycle in which HVOB integrate an immersive light show into their music performances. Designed and programmed by the artists themselves, the project was first introduced in April 2024 at the Wiener Konzerthaus with a global tour beginning in fall 2025.
